GEDUNG B FAKULTAS BIOLOGI UGM

Building B, Faculty of Biology was built on an area of 5,800 m2 at Gadjah Mada University, a public University in Yogyakarta. The five-story building includes classrooms, plant laboratories, and a monitoring room. Building B, Faculty of Biology became the first Green Building on the Universitas Gadjah Mada campus.

Designed and constructed by PT. Omega Minerba Gan, this building designed with green features to reduce environmental impact and save on operational costs. The building’s green features have been implemented at no additional cost to the university

External shading devices, reflective paint and LED lighting reduce the building’s energy use, while water-efficient plumbing fixtures and a greywater treatment and recycling system reduce the building’s water use. The Faculty of Biology Building B has received the final EDGE certification from Green Building Council Indonesia.
